Certainly has been a while since I’ve been here. Between dealing with work, a few bumps in the health of my dad, and a rather needed vacation with Mycroft, afraid I’ve been neglecting you lot. But, things seem to be settled again, and I should be round more often.
Good heavens, not sure when you sent this, but thanks, mate. Going to be popping ‘round a lot more once again, I’m thinking.
I wouldn’t say anymore than any old couple, you know? I mean, they’ve their spats over Sherlock leaving experiments out, and John wanting to go out to see movies or something like that, but they get on well enough.
The man who the evidence points to is behind bars awaiting trial.
I’m alright, bloody exhausted, but that happens. Work’s been pretty demanding the last bit. Run into the ground. ‘fraid I haven’t seen much of Mycroft, we’ve both ended up being a bit busy lately, but from the texts I’ve gotten he’s doing well as he can be.
Being able to sit down and have a pint is a very, very beautiful thing.
Fancy this, I don’t actually call him in on most of my cases, but thanks.
Oh, right, you think we haven’t tried searching that? I’m so glad you have so little faith in the police. Besides, as I said, out of my hands. the government is looking into it. They had him in custody. If they couldn’t pin something on him, it does me little good to know where he is.
Right. You get on that, then, shall you, mate? Let me know how bloody easy it is for you.
Well, this is pleasant, isn’t it? Do you think we just sat about, twiddling our thumbs and going, “Oh, pity that, yeah?”. Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence. We did what we could, the government took it out of our hands. Maybe you don’t get it, but unfortunately, when the governmental officials tell the Yard to stop looking into something, we’re stuck. Someone else was dealing with it.
